Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at thy alters, O Lord of hosts, my king and my God.
Psalms 84:3

There are a few places throughout the Bible where it is written that even the animals find food and shelter which is provided by the heavenly father, so if He provides for them, He is sure to do the same for you. These things are provided to us, it is useless to think of where your next meal, or the meal three months away is coming from. Stuart Wilde in his book, Life Wasn’t Meant to be a Struggle, states that a lion doesn’t wake up and start worrying where its food will come from, it just starts walking down a path and low and behold, there’s lunch.

Yes, it is only humans who waste energy worrying about whether their basic needs will be provided and this is the ultimate sign of lack of faith. As I’ve said before, everyday we wake up with a certain amount of energy, this energy if used in a productive manner can be stretched out and obtain incredible results. Actually when focusing our energy on positive results, there seems to be very little energy drain, but negative thoughts such as worry, use an incredible amount of energy. People who worry find themselves too tired to perform properly, it leads to muscle stiffness and also leads to their worries becoming reality.

We should never have any worry of whether our nest and nourishment will be provided, we should only be thinking of how we can go above merely surviving and begin living. How can we make our life so beautiful that we make God look down upon us and smile? If you are going to worry about anyone’s meal it shouldn’t be yours for if you are believer you will surely have the faith that God will provide for you, what you could be thinking of is how can we as God’s children provide for all his children, even those who haven’t been able to develop their own faith or to ask for what they need in prayer. God uses us to perform His will here on earth, and I’m sure it is His will to feed all His children. Are you helping Him feed his hungry?

When silly worries creep into your head, I’d like you to answer this question, "When was the last time you went three days without food?"

Worry affects the circulation, the heart, the glands, the whole nervous system, and profoundly affects the health. I have never known a man who died from overwork, but many who died from doubt. -Charles W. Mayo, M. D.
